2017 USA Hockey Nationals: Champions Crowned

Nation's best cap season in Youth, Girls, High School, Sled and Women's classifications

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A total of 24 national champions were crowned across the country at the 2017 USA Hockey Youth, Girls, High School, Women's and Sled National Championships. Title game results are below for all completed levels.

Still to come, the Rec Adult Nationals will be contested later this month in Florida.

Youth Tier I National Championship | Scottsdale, Arizona

Note: Chicago Mission wins its first Youth Tier I 14U national championship after runner-up finishes in 2015, 2014, 2011, 2009 and 2008.

Note: Three of Yale's five tournament games needed overtime to determine a winner. Yale won all three of them.

Youth Tier I National Championship | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Note: With the win, Compuware claimed its 16th USA Hockey national championship. The program's first came in 1983 and its most recent prior to today came in 2010.

Note: Mid-Fairfield is the second Connecticut-based team to win the Youth Tier I 18U national championship in the past three seasons. The Connecticut Wolf Pack was the first, winning the title in 2015.

Girls Tier I National Championship | Rochester, Michigan

Note: Fourth consecutive Girls Tier I 14U national championship for a Massachusetts-based team; Assabet Valley (2014), Boston Junior Eagles (2015) and East Coast Wizards (2016).

Note: Belle Tire is just the second Michigan-based team to win the Girls Tier I 16U national championship since the 16U classification's inception in 2004. Detroit HoneyBaked (2011) was the first.

Note: Second consecutive Girls Tier I 19U national championship for Shattuck-St. Mary's School.

Youth Tier II 14U National Championship | Coral Springs, Florida

Note: The Portland Junior Winterhawks program was the only program to win two USA Hockey Youth national championships in 2017 (Youth Tier II 14U 1A and Youth Tier II 16U 1A).

Note: It's the second Youth national championship for the Atlanta Fire program (the other came in 2010) and the third Youth national championship overall for an Atlanta-based program.

Note: Highland Park played eight periods of hockey on Semifinal Sunday, then cruised through three periods on Championship Monday for the title.

Youth Tier II 16U National Championship | Frisco, Texas

Note: The Portland Junior Winterhawks program was the only program to win two USA Hockey Youth national championships in 2017 (Youth Tier II 14U 1A and Youth Tier II 16U 1A).

Note: This is the first-ever national championship for the Dallas Penguins program and the second national championship won this season by a Texas-based team (Frisco won the High School Combined national championship).

Note: This is the third Youth Tier II 16U 3A title in four years for the Oakland Junior Grizzlies.

Youth Tier II 18U National Championship | Lansing, Michigan

Note: This marked the return of the Youth Tier II 18U 1A national-tournament classification after a one-year absence. It's the fifth USA Hockey national championship all-time for a North Carolina-based team.

Note: The Moose victory earned the state of Maine its sixth USA Hockey national championship. The first Maine-based national champion was crowned in 1950.

Note: Team Copper Country was comprised of players from Houghton, Hancock and Calumet in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Girls Tier II National Championship | Troy, Michigan

Note: The Shoreline Sharks became the first Connecticut-based team to win the Girls Tier II 14U national championship.

Note: The Anchorage North Stars became the first Alaska-based team to win the Girls Tier II 16U national championship.

Note: The San Jose Junior Sharks became the first California-based team to win the Girls Tier II 19U national championship.

Women’s Senior B & C National Championship | Rochester, Michigan

Note: This is the 15th USA Hockey national championship overall for the Minnesota Blue Js program.

Note: The O'Leary Hawks were the second Michigan-based team to win a USA Hockey Women's Senior championship in as many years (Detroit HoneyBaked won the Senior B title last season).

High School National Championship | Cleveland, Ohio
